Mission Email Update #1

I will start this email with a quote I find relatively applicable to my situation here at the MTC.

"My life is good, really good. I get to wake up every morning at 5am, and make some soup! It's the best! I love it. I get to lay in a bed all by myself. All of my life. It's fantastic. Now, go away! Read some books!"

That's a quote from a film named Nacho Libre, except instead of making soup, I'm reading scriptures. And it's at 6:30. 

I love the MTC so far, it's been super awesome with my district. We've all bonded so much and we are all so tight. We have the opportunity of having this guy with cerebral palsy in our district (which is like a group of missionaries), he is so amazing. I can feel Jesus's love so much through my interactions with him. He is so kind and very wise.

I could go on and on about my district but I will refrain.

I saw some guy jump roping for an hour straight, like we left our room for breakfast and he was jump roping so fast, then we came back an hour later and he was still going so fast. I would not be surprised if he was still doing it right now.

So many funny things happen here, some are caused by myself but often they are just situationally so comedic. Some pictures in my album will hint at these moments.

Spiritual Thought:

I have learned so much about Jesus Christ here. I have learned how to better love him and know him. 

A line from a song I am playing for a devotional next week has been running through my head all week. (Also shout out to my exciting performance for like 800 missionaries next week 😱😱🙏) "Jesus sought me when a stranger, wandering from the fold of God."

This has helped me see more how Christ reaches out to us. We are the only things that estrange ourselves from the fold of God, and even through that, He seeks us. 

Later in the song it says: "Bind my wandering heart to thee." I've felt this desire grow as I've studied the gospel of Jesus Christ.

I love you guys, send me emails and I'll respond. Not one of those fake Elders who says they read them but might not respond. I will just for the fans 🙏🙏🥶🥶
